Another day in school

Schools are schools whether in the US or Taiwan. We start out each Monday with a faculty meeting. Where the difference is that the children are left alone for about one hour in their classrooms while the administration and faculty meet. (Can anyone imagine doing that in the US?). There is very little discussion (sound familiar) but the faculty is "talked at" during these meetings. One other amazing rule is that the children are not allowed to wear their shoes into our classrooms.
