Chiayi

I walked around the city of Chiayi (population ~200,000) on a Sunday morning and saw these interesting sites. Lots of things were going on at temples and in the streets. The "big guy" in the first photo was about 10 ft tall (you can see the hole where the person looks out) and was part of a religious parade of bells and drums and whistles. The other objects were seen in the temple. I also saw this home made of drift wood which was on a main street of Chiayi.
