A Traditional Taiwanese Wedding continued

The pink cup contains a traditional drink that the bride and groom share and oranges (on the table) also bring good luck to the marriage. You can see that I was allowed to take a short ride in the ox-drawn cart and I also had my picture taken with the bride and groom and the match maker (who was their symbolically). Then a 12-course dinner was served outdoors for about 150 guests. It was an amazing meal that served lots of seafood (including shark/shark fin soup), sushi, and other delicious foods. Fireworks were released about 4 times during the meal and a band played throughout. Following the meal, the bride and groom wished their guests a safe journey home and handed out candy and cigarettes--another traditional parting gift. It was a marvelous day!!
