Night along the Love River--Kaohsiung

After dinner at the Happy Buddha restaurant in Kaohsiung, we headed to the Love River canal walk. It is lovely and the blue lights on the bridge are especially beautiful. Karen, Rochelle and I were joined by Karen's housemate, Sophie and her friend, Brian. Brian kindly chauffered us around the city this weekend so that we were able to see many sites in Kaohsiung. The walk along the Love River was a wonderful way to get a feel for this 2nd largest city in Taiwan. With approximately 1 million residents, the city is a bustling place. But along the river walk, we enjoyed music, a cool breeze, friendly people, and rainbow-colored tour boats.
