Tienhou Temple--The Sea and Mountain Temple

The Tienhou Temple (the Sea and Mountain Temple) was built in 1691 and is dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, Matsu. It is one of Kaohsiung's oldest architectural structures. As the name implies, the temple sits on the side of Mt. Shou over-looking the ocean.
