Welcome to Sports Day Saturday

Saturday was Sports Day at Shengli Elementary School and the children have been excited for this day to arrive for several weeks. The atmosphere is like a big carnival that includes parades, athletic endeavors, dancing, and awards. The day started with a parade of the primary grades which had selected themes and dressed accordingly. You could see alligators, pirates and fairies as well as dancing snow crabs and a birthday cake. The older grades filled the field and danced for the audience. All of their practice paid off. Finally, the 60-meter dash and class-relay races were run. It was great fun to watch all of the festivities.
