Natural hotsprings in Kaohsiung county

The Dona Hot springs have been upgraded so that people bathe right beside the river in simple tubs. I felt the water in the tubs but felt uncomfortable taking pictures as the people enjoyed the water. It was very warm and soothing. In the above pictures you see the original tubs before they were replaced for safety reasons. You can also see the pipe through which the hot water is pumped to the tubs above.

Thanks for posting pictures of Dona hotsprings. I will be in Taiwan January 1-15th. I'll be visiting my buddy Dave and attending some brief classes at the Taipei Language Institute.

Dona seems like the most rustic place to enjoy hotsprings in Taiwan so I'll head there for a few days of relaxation and Mandarin studies.
