Star fruit and a conversation

As I was walking home today, I walked passed this star fruit tree covered with bags. The elderly woman and her husband starting telling me all about the tree and why they had the bags hanging from it. Our conversation was in English (me) and Chinese (the couple) but we understood each other. (The bags help the fruit ripen.) They then invited me into their garden and gave me all of these fruits to sample. It was a pretty neat experience.
