Riding the new High Speed Railroad

Four of my fellow English teachers, their four sons and I took the High Speed Railroad to Taichung. A trip that usually takes 2 hours was reduced to 40 minutes as the train sped along between 300 km/h (186 mph) to 315 km/h (197 mph). The ride was very smooth and quiet making for a very enjoyable ride. The map of Taiwan shows the route currently taken by the train. For more information on the High Speed Railway, read:
