The hotsprings of Green Island, Taiwan

Mei Lian, Karen and I had a wonderful time at the Green Island hotspring which had a wonderful view of the ocean as you sat in the warm waters. In pictures 6-9 you see an area where people brought eggs, corn and some even dug for mussels which they then cooked in the boiling water. I got a little too close and burned my foot in the boiling water. You can also see Mei Lian sitting in a tidal pool which contained fish, sea anenomes, and other life. This water was not the hot water of the hotspring but water directly from the ocean. You can see it splashing over the rocks which rimmed the pool. The final pictures show Karen and Mei Lian enjoying the hotspring pool while it gently rained. The whole experience was quite a treat!!
