Mr. Lee and his Chinese flute

Mr. Lee is one of the 5th grade teachers at Shengli Elementary School. He has been very kind to me all-year long. He is orginally from the mountain regions of Taiwan and would often bring me snacks that were specialties from his home. This day he was teaching the children how to play the Chinese flute which has fingering similar to the recorder. The instrument is beautiful with a carved gourd holding the mouth piece.
