It's Plum-ripening season--The rain is here!

The large cumulonimbus clouds bring rain from the sea. Many of the older Taiwanese say that these clouds are the rain dragons that bring needed moisture for the rice and other vegetation. I can see a dragon. Can you?
Now I know why they need these bridges over non-existent rivers!!

It is also called the plum-ripening season because the plum trees have blossomed and now need lots of rain to grow the fruits.

The brightly colored umbrellas add to the Tainan scenery.

The monsoon season is here in Taiwan which consists of rain, rain and more rain. I was surprised to learn that there is thunder and lightning as well. I always thought it meant "buckets" of rain only.
