A Farewell to Shengli and Tainan

On my final day of school I was surprise at the faculty meeting with a goodbye celebration in my honor. The school presented me with a framed certificate, a Chinese outfit, gifts from each grade level, and a plaque from the Tainan Government. There were 3 newspapers and one television station which recorded the event. As you can imagine, I was over-whelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of my fellow teachers.

It was also a day of retirement celebration for my friend, Mei-Chiy Chen who is retiring after 30 years of teaching science.
